Currently, Alberta has some of the lowest organ donation rates in Canada, investment in research and innovation in the area of Ex Vivo Organ Perfusion will make more organs available for transplantation. Heart, Lung and Heart/Lung transplants are performed at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute.
